Standing Orders

Standing Orders are the written rules of a parish council. They are used to confirm the Council’s internal organisational, administrative and procurement procedures and procedural matters for meetings.

Financial Regulations

Financial Regulations regulate and control the financial affairs and accounting procedures of a parish council.

Code of Conduct for Councillors

Parish councils are obliged to adopt a Code of Conduct which sets out rules governing the behaviour of their Members (Councillors). All elected, co-opted and independent members of local authorities, including Parish Councils, are required to abide by their own, formally adopted, code.

Neighbourhood Plan

Stogumber currently has a Neighbourhood Plan in place that has been adopted by Somerset Council (PDF). This is a document that is referred to when considering planning applications in the neighbourhood area.
